Protecting Those in the Margins:

Allyship and Solidarity in Practice

Sunday May 26th

9:15-10:45am
FB/CASES Atrium

This keynote will focus on defining and understanding privilege and oppression to better identify how those with privilege in specific spaces can use it productively. Privilege is not a bad thing, yet it is a tool that can be used to support marginalized communities and pull their narratives and needs into spaces they might not have access to. This interactive keynote will invite the audience to think about their identity, deep dive into defining privilege and oppression, engage in case studies and leave with some tangible tools on how to be an effective ally and work in solidarity with marginalized communities.
